TALIA Launches Satellite Internet Network On NSS-703

NSS-703 to offer optimized coverage of Middle-East in Ku-band

The Hague, Netherlands, April 21st, 2008 – SES NEW SKIES, an SES company (Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG) announces that Talia Limited, one of the largest suppliers of satellite Internet services for North Africa and the Middle East, has contracted 10.9 MHz on SES NEW SKIES’ NSS-703 satellite to introduce a new broadband network. The network has passed acceptance terms and is available for immediate use.

“Our existing networks on RSCC's AM-22 and Arabsat BADR-4 have been very popular,” said Alan Afrasiab, Talia's Chief Executive Officer. “NSS-703 allows us to bring our services, already known and respected, in standard Ku band to larger geographies.”

Tyler Wagner, Talia's Chief Technical Officer, concurred: “We're happy to get capacity on NSS-703, which has excellent coverage in the Middle East, so we can better support our customers in the region. Coverage is particularly good in Turkey and Iraq, and we can offer excellent service to customers in regions where Arabsat’s BADR-4 has a bit less power.”

Nigel Gibson, Vice President of Sales at SES NEW SKIES welcomes Talia aboard NSS-703: “Broadband access today is a pre-requisite to sustained economic development in emerging regions. We at SES NEW SKIES are proud to support Talia’s services with satellite capacity and to help provide state-of-the-art broadband access to new target groups in far-flung geographies.”
