CANALSATELLITE ADDS CAPACITY ON ASTRA 19.2° EAST

SES ASTRA, an SES GLOBAL company (Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG; Frankfurt Stock Exchange: SDSL) is pleased to announce that CANALSATELLITE has concluded long-term contracts for two additional transponders on the ASTRA satellite system at 19.2° East.

CANALSATELLITE is France's leading digital satellite pay-TV bouquet, with currently 1,9 million subscribers receiving up to 230 TV and radio channels as well as new interactive services direct-to-home via ASTRA 19.2° East.

The additional ASTRA transponder capacity will be used to further diversify the CANALSATELLITE line-up with new general interest channels, premium movie and sport offers, as well as innovative interactive TV applications. Amongst the channels joining the CANALSATELLITE line-up are: Ciné Cinéma Premier, Ciné Cinéma Emotion, Ciné Cinéma Frisson, Ciné Cinéma Auteur, Ciné Cinéma Succès, Ciné Cinéma Classic, Planète Thalassa, PlayHouse Disney, Toon Disney.
