Jürgen Schulte appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of SES GLOBAL

Jürgen Schulte has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of SES GLOBAL (Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG; Frankfurt Stock Exchange: SDSL), the world's premier satellite operator resulting from the successful closing of the combination of the SES Group of companies with GE Americom (see separate news release).

In his new position, Jürgen Schulte is also a Member of the Executive Committee of SES GLOBAL and reports directly to Romain Bausch, President and CEO of SES GLOBAL and Chairman of the Executive Committee. Jürgen Schulte is also a Non-Executive Director of AsiaSat (Hong Kong), and Star One (Brazil).

Jürgen Schulte has served as Director of Finance and Member of the Management Committee of SES ASTRA since 1991. In this position, Jürgen was charged with overall responsibility for the financial operations of the rapidly expanding SES Group, including the ASTRA fleet expansion from 2 to 12 spacecraft, the 1998 EUR 1bn Initial Public Offering (IPO), and an investment programme totalling some EUR 7.5bn since 1998, including notably SES' strategic share holdings in AsiaSat (1999), NSAB (2000), Embratel's Star One (2000) and GE Americom (2001).

Before joining SES, Jürgen held a variety of positions over fifteen years in finance management operations of General Electric (GE) affiliates in Brussels, New York, Madrid, Frankfurt and Luxembourg. Jürgen, a German citizen aged 58, holds a Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Münster (Germany).
