UPDATE ON THE LIVE COVERAGE OF THE ASTRA 2D LAUNCH FROM KOUROU VIA ASTRA AT 28.2° EAST

SES/ASTRA informs that for viewers in the UK receiving Sky Digital via ASTRA at 28.2° East, live coverage of the ASTRA 2D launch will be transmitted on transponder 40, downlink frequency 12480, V-pol, service name ASTRA 2D.

The launch of ASTRA 2D onboard Ariane 5 will also be broadcast via ASTRA in analogue free-to-air (Trp. 59, 10861.75 MHz, H-pol) and digital free-to-air on ASTRA 19.2° East (Trp. 108, 12551.50 MHz, V-pol., 22.0 MSymb/s, Service ID: 3997, ASTRA-Vision in the programme guide). The live transmission from Kourou is scheduled to begin at 01.00 am Central European time on the 20.12.00.
