EUROPE ONLINE NETWORKS S.A. LAUNCHES BROADBAND MASS-CONSUMER INTERNET IN THE SKY ON THE ASTRA SATELLITE SYSTEM

Europe Online Networks S.A. today launched its broadband, mass-consumer "Internet in the Sky" on the ASTRA Satellite System at 19.2° East (transponder Nr. 114, V-polarization, 12.6400 GHz). The signal which is a broadband, mass-consumer Internet offering includes streamed video and audio; digital downloadable products such as software, CD's, video games and clips as well as World Wide Web surfing. It is receivable across Europe by all ASTRA dishes, equipped with a universal LNB, as well as SMATV and cable networks. End-users need to be equipped with DVB satellite PC cards or set-top boxes connected to a participating ISP.
