Antenna Pattern Synthesis Software
The antenna pattern synthesis software, specially developed in-house by TechCom engineers, is an efficient tool for the design and specification of spacecraft antenna patterns.
The software improves the capabilities of satellite operators in the following areas:
- Early optimization of spacecraft coverage based on commercial service requirements
- Early assessment of mission feasibility with demanding coverage requirements (EIRP, G/T, isolation)
- Focusing the set of spacecraft requirements towards the manufacturer, supporting sizing (mass, power, capacity, fairing constraints) for new programs
- Accurate recreation of steered beam patterns (for coverage prediction or spectrum coordination purposes)
- IOT preparation and analysis
- Predict generation for payload IOT antenna mapping
- Pointing bias estimation and sensitivity analysis
- FMS-data evaluation and location optimization
- Thermo-elastic effects analysis
Main features:
- Multiple configurations support:
- Single or dual-shaped reflector geometries
- Multi-feed arrays, including combinations with shaped reflectors (hybrid antennas)
- Single or multiple beam configurations
- Optimization with various degrees of freedom:
- Shaping of main and/or sub-reflectors
- Feed excitation coefficients optimization (or selectable subset), feed coordinate system, individual feed positions (theta, phi, z-coordinate) for minimum scan-loss
- Convergence tracing through interim viewing of results (between iterations of residuals and optimizing for number of feeds, reducing sidelobes)
