Combined reception from two ASTRA positions means more choice for European homes

The Duo LNB provides simultaneous access to ASTRA satellites at 19.2° and 23.5° east, using a single dish. The monoblock design makes it both easy to install and economical. There are two versions: the Twin for up to two set-top boxes, and the Quad for up to four.

The 19.2°E slot is well known throughout Europe for extensive TV and radio choice, which includes more than 250 free-to-air and ten HD digital TV channels. Over 38 million homes in 35 countries receive programming directly from 19.2° east.

Our new DTH position at 23.5° east is an emerging prime orbital slot that already offers exciting and varied content, particularly for the Dutch, Czech and Slovak markets.

Continuous growth potential

The industry predicts that there will be over 500,000 dual LNB homes in Benelux and central eastern Europe by 2010.

The ASTRA 3B satellite will launch to 23.5°E in 2009. It will extend the Duo LNB market through an expanded footprint, and by providing additional capacity and flexibility for DTH and DTC services across Europe.

Ready for the mass market

We have invested significant resources in ensuring high awareness and rapid take-up for the Duo LNB. It is already available in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and the Czech and Slovak Republics, and is supported by ASTRA and its customers with extensive trade and consumer marketing.
