ASTRA can provide broadcasters with rapidly deployable connectivity to relay footage or live transmissions from the field to the studio. Signals are first MPEG2 encoded and modulated, then uplinked in SCPC. The signal is then turned around at ASTRA's Betzdorf Teleport or any ground station capable of uplinking to the allocated ASTRA satellite, which transmits the signal to the customer's premises.
