SES Statement on Proton Failure to Launch JCSAT II

Betzdorf, September 6th, 2007 - SES (Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG) notes with regret the failure of the Proton launch of the JCSAT II satellite from Baikonur last night.

SES has two satellites scheduled for launch on Proton this year, SIRIUS 4 in October and AMERICOM 14 in December. The launch date of these spacecraft will be subject to a delay pending the findings of the official inquiry into the launch failure.

No revenue from these two satellites was foreseen in 2007 and there will therefore be no impact on SES's financial guidance for 2007.
