SES LISTED ON FRANKFURT STOCK EXCHANGE Secondary Listing for SES' Fiduciary Depositary Receipts
Société Européenne des Satellites ("SES"), the Luxembourg-based operator of the ASTRA Satellite System, is pleased to announce the admission of the Fiduciary Depositary Receipts ("FDRs"), each in respect of one A Share in SES, to listing on the "Amtlicher Handel", the official list of the Deutsche Börse in Frankfurt. The FDRs (symbol: SDSL) were issued by Banque et Caisse d'Epargne de l'Etat, Luxembourg. No new A Shares or FDRs have been issued on the occasion of this secondary listing.
The FDRs have been listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange since the IPO in July 1998. The listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, which is jointly sponsored by Deutsche Bank and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, will further extend and facilitate trading of the FDRs.
Jürgen Schulte, Director of Finance and Member of the Management Committee, commented:
"The Frankfurt listing marks a further step in the company's evolution. Our global business development strategy is accompanied by a commitment to our investors to facilitate trading and, over time, enhance the liquidity of the FDRs as appropriate. There is established interest and expertise in Frankfurt in technical and high-growth companies, and Frankfurt, as well as being a major global financial centre, has the benefit of being located in the Eurozone. Germany is one of our most important markets, where ASTRA is a well-known brand. This step will also contribute to the development of SES' profile among international investors."
